Things are not going well.

WYD is down to 60 weekly active users, we cannot acquire users without ads, and the users coming from ads have very low retention (close to 0% on day 30). We tried guerrilla marketing by going to a bar and getting entire groups of friends to sign up at the same time, but even that failed to increase the retention of said users.

We don’t know if the right move is proceeding with the product WYD, so we are actively validating other ideas.

Two weeks ago we created a landing page for Lexicos (www.lexicos.es) - a grammar and spelling corrector for Spanish natives - and validated the idea by getting 1500 unique visitors to the site. 25% of them went to the pricing page but none of them converted, so we moved on from this idea.

We are now exploring a tool to help Django developers and will be validating the idea over the course of this week.

WYD’s failure to retain users took a toll on our morale and we are doing our best to bounce back from it.
